Sparkly Ornaments

Creating sparkly ornaments is fun! All you need are clear ornaments, adhesive glue and some glitter. All the items were purchased from Michaels. You can find clear ornaments in different shapes and sizes. Pour a little bit of Glitter-It inside and swirl it around slowly. If you shake it too much it will form bubbles. Also Glitter-It is a lot more liquified than most expect glue to be, so be careful when using it. Wait about thirty seconds and pour the glitter color of your choice. Shake it around to make sure the whole ornament is covered. Pour out the excess glitter which can be reused. Voilà, you have some sparkly colorful ornaments you made yourself!

Foods that can help you sleep

Are you having trouble sleeping? What time you eat and what you eat before bed might have something to do with it. Diets high in refined sugar can cause ingestion and trigger insulin sugar that interfere with the hormones that affect sleep. Also, eating late at night forces your body and brain to be digesting instead of resting.

Below are some of the foods that can help you snooze:

1. Cherries. The only natural food sources of melatonin, the chemical that controls the body’s internal clock to regulate sleep.

2. Bananas. Full of potassium and magnesium, bananas are natural muscle relaxants.

3. Toast. Triggers insulin production, which induces sleep by speeding up the release of tryptophan and serotonin.

4. Warm milk.  Contains calcium which helps to sleep and also the amino acid L-tryptophan, which turns to 5-HTP and releases relaxing serotonin.

5. Chia seeds. Contain the sleep-inducing amino acid tryptophan which raises melatonin and serotonin levels.

A combination of different types of foods, also help in raising melatonin and serotonin levels which stabilize sleep, such as: popcorn with parmesan cheese, turkey burger with spinach and cheese with 100% whole grain crackers.

Hope you have a good night of zzzzzz’s!

Improve Your Credit Score

First and foremost, to improve your credit score you should eliminate debt. Stop using a credit card for purchases or don’t just pay the minimum balance at the end of the month, instead pay the whole balance. If you are not capable of paying the whole balance, then cut your credit card in half because you are living beyond your means. Try to avoid opening up store cards. Many department store offer incentives and discounts that lead us into getting a card, however the interest rates are outrages. If you have newer cards, close them, but keep the older ones even if you choose not to use them. What affects your credit score positively, is the length of your credit history.

Everyone is entitled to receive one free credit report a year. Review your credit score annually and take the necessary steps to improve it.

How to Wear Neutral Hues

http://thestylishgirl.com

Nude was one of the most popular colors on the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes this year. Most celebs opted for a much softer, more feminine neutral palette.

Even though anyone can wear neutral hues, one should choose a color that complements their skin tone. Women with fair or light skin should stick to rose-toned nude shades, so they don’t appear washed out. Those with medium or olive skin should opt for “golden” nudes or neutral colors with golden undertones, like champagne or sand. Dark-skinned women have the most versatility when it comes to wearing nudes, since any neutral color is flattering. As a rule of thumb when choosing a neutral color, pick a shade two, three or more shades lighter or darker than your skin tone.
