Plant-Based Lifestyle

Optimal health and longevity start with nutrition. What you put in your body matters. 💚

🌱Scientific studies have also shown that a whole food plant-based diet can prevent and often reverse heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, various auto-immune disorders and cancer.

🌱A plant-based lifestyle reduces the demand for animal products, which in turn can help save animals and promote their welfare.

🌱Plant- based diets generally have a lower environmental impact, as they require fewer resources and produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to animal agriculture.

🌱Making such a choice can be a positive step towards a healthier, more compassionate, and sustainable future. 💚

Benefits of Rebounding

I really enjoyed this in-store trampoline/rebound class hosted by Lululemon & Club Studio Fitness to celebrate Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

✔️Rebounding is bouncing on a mini trampoline.

✔️Rebounding is a no-impact exercise that burns more calories and provides more benefits than jogging, biking, or weight training.

✔️Rebounding reduces body fat, improves muscle tone, and stimulates metabolism.

✔️Rebounding can improve cardiovascular and lymphatic health. It can decrease inflammation by helping fluid move more easily through the body. It is an excellent way to detox and cleanse your entire body.

Have you ever tried it?👇🏼 I have a mini trampoline at home and try to use it for a few minutes every day. There are free classes online you can follow. 🙌🏼 You can start by bouncing up and down with your feet never leaving the mat and eventually incorporating other moves and adding shorter bursts of high-intensity workouts. 💪🏼

Beach Time & Favorite Snack

It finally feels like summer in Southern California. ☀️
I love exploring the beautiful beaches of Laguna Beach and packing some essentials such as water, snacks, hat, towel and more. 🏖️ One of my favorite snacks to bring with me this summer is the @go_raw 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁 & 𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀. 😋

💚This snack comes in a pouch and it’s easy to seal and carry anywhere.

💚It is organic, vegan & gluten-free with 7g of protein per serving.

💚It only includes 4 ingredients: sprouted pumpkin seeds, sprouted sunflower seeds, sea salt, and black pepper.

💚Sprouting helps unlock nutrients that are easier for the body to absorb and digest.

💚Pumpkin seeds are a great plant-based source of iron and magnesium. Sunflower seeds are high in selenium, magnesium, zinc and iron which helps to strengthen the immune system. These seeds are superfoods. 🌱

Cashew Ricotta Stuffed Peppers 🌶️

For the ricotta, I used soaked cashews, onion flakes, garlic salt, lemon juice, garlic cloves and filtered water. See full recipe in stories. Peppers can be roasted in the oven or fried in a pan. ❤️🧡💛

A homemade nut ricotta is simple to make and a much better option than any dairy products such as cheese. One of the biggest myths is that dairy makes bones stronger and that milk does the body good. 🦴 Dairy is inflammatory, contains IGF-1 which is linked to cancer, increases bad cholesterol and it is high in sugar.🥛 US consumes the highest amount of dairy and has the most bone fractures than any country. ⚠️

🌱The best source of calcium are plants such as kale, alfalfa sprouts, Brussel sprouts, beans and seeds.
🌱The best source of vitamin K are leafy greens.
🌱The best source of Vitamin D is from the sun (morning or late afternoon).

Why would you still eat dairy knowing how harmful it is for your health? 🛑

Would love to know your favorite nut cheese recipe! 🧀

Mason Jar Meal Prep

High Protein Mason Jar Meal Prep 💪🏼
I used recycled glass jars for this meal prep. ♻️

💚Olive Tapenade
💚Capers
💚Olive Mix
💚Chickpea Pasta @eatbanza
💚Organic Leafy Greens

This a plant-based high protein & gluten-free meal.
🌱A serving of @eatbanza rotini made from chickpeas has 25g of protein and 13g of fiber.
🌱Leafy greens provide the most bioavailable protein available for humans and also help reverse all protein related diseases (gout, kidney disease, gallstones etc), which are caused from animal protein sources.

𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

his is what I typically eat throughout the morning during the week. 🍌🫐🍎🍊I always start mornings with fruit. ☀️ Fruit in the morning is best because it will give you energy for the day, cleanse your body and keep your brain sharp. ✨💫

Fruit has been recognized as one of the healthiest and the most healing foods there is. Fruit is full of minerals like potassium, Vitamin C, fiber, antioxidants and glucose. ❤️ It is a great source of hydration and natural sugars to fuel us. 💪🏼

I addition to blueberries, bananas, oranges and apples, I also have dates and this week I am trying this ready to go overnight oats from @mush. Let me know if you would like to know more about the power of dates. 👇🏼

Do you usually eat fruit in the morning? 🍇🍉🍓🍑

What’s In My Fridge

I am sharing with you what’s in my plant-based fridge. 💚🌱These type of reels are some of my popular ones. I also love to see how others organize and store everything. 🙌🏼

I live in Southern California and never really turn the AC on. If I leave produce on the counter, it usually goes bad fast as it is generally warm in my area. I tend to store most items in the fridge so they last longer. I know there is controversy about storing tomatoes, potatoes and citrus fruit in the fridge, but I don’t have much of a choice. 🌤️

I always get the question why I have so many lemons and oranges. I love making fresh orange juice. 🍊I drink lemon water first thing in the morning and sometimes during the day too. 🍋 Let me know if you would like to learn more about the benefits of lemon water. 👇🏼

What does your fridge look like? 👀Mine doesn’t stay organized for too long. 🤦🏻‍♀️
